I’m Staffan, currently residing in Sweden, where I harness my expertise as a Systems administrator to enhance and innovate within the life-science industry.

With a deep-seated passion for digitalization, problem solving and a keen interest in backend development and business intelligence.

I’ve embarked on a journey for the last five and a half years, to mastering technologies like VBA, SQL, C#, and API development.

Educational Background:

I’ve taken numerous CS classes while working full-time just because they seemed interesting to me and during the first half of my professional life, working within vastly different fields, I´ve met many different people and learned many diverse skills while developing a solid foundation in software engineering and the life-science industry.

Professional Experience:

Over the years, I’ve contributed to various projects across multiple departments, focusing today on refactoring and modernizing VBA scripts in Excel.

My key projects include:

• DevOps:ing the entire lifecycle of laboratory buffers, from placing an order in the system to checking if they are peer-reviewed and available for use.
• Member and then admin/2nd line support, for a LIMS (laboratory information management system) implementation project.

I currently work in a medium to large laboratory environment.

Interests:

Watching various streaming services, playing games and building my own projects where I often prompt ChatGPT to help challenge me and to help clarify (and equally confuse) things.

These activities sharpen my problem-solving skills and fuel my creativity, enriching my professional output.
